The production of insulation boards is carried out by dewatering of a paper fibres/silicate suspension on a special sieve belt filter of 11m length and 3.8 m width. The unsatisfactory suspension dewatering on the belt filter caused serious problems in the downstream processing, high energy consumption, an overcharge of the thermal dryer and a poor product quality.
