Trouble Shooting

What means Trouble Shooting?

The extensive know how and the great experience gives BOKELA the possibility to provide a fast and accurate analysis, either at acute and "burning" operating problems or at long-termed, systematic bottlenecks in the process.

This trouble shooting consists in the review of the state of the filters (both mechanical and operational) in the form of a 1-2 days site visit. During this visit a performance test will be carried out with one filter in order to determine the present filter performance and to gather information about:

  • Condition of filter parts (preliminary)

  • Hardware bottlenecks in terms of performance, operation and maintenance

  • Modifications required to overcome these bottlenecks

All information from this visit will be compiled in a Trouble Shooting Report.

What goes on after Trouble Shooting?

Based on the outcome of the 'Trouble Shooting Report' BOKELA will elaborate a proposal for the modification and refurbishment of the filters including engineering and hardware costs. The offer will in general propose following possibilities:

  • a small package (no. I) covering engineering and minor hardware modifications (limited amount of new parts) in order to reach reasonable performance improvements with a limited budget

  • a big package (no. II) incorporating additional engineering and hardware (substantial modification of existing parts and delivery of new parts) in order to achieve maximum performance

  • alternative solutions like new or alternative equipment which would be better adapted to the process

Thus, this service is well adapted to identify mechanical and process bottlenecks in a qualitative and rapid way.

A more detailed assessment of operating filtration equipment can also be done and consists in the first stage of filter optimisation program (see revamping).
