Sieve Filtration
Sieve Filtration with the DYNO Filter

At sieve filtration the DYNO Filter is used for a continuous separation of coarse particles from suspensions. The fine fraction and the mother liquor pass the sieve medium while the substantially smaller coarse fraction is hold back by the sieve and discharged as highly concentrated residual suspension.

Process Characteristics of the Sieve Filtration

  • separation of low concentrated coarse particles

  • passing of the suspended fine particles with high specific throughput

  • from undiluted, high concentrated (and high viscous) dispersions and suspensions

  • under hermetic process conditions (on-line), fully automatic and with little maintenance

  • with minimal product loss at the discharge of the coarse particles

  • production of different particle fractions

 Benefits

  • continuous operation

  • sieve cut down to 20 µm

  • high throughputs

  • high particles concentration in the feed

  • automatic concentrating of the separated coarse fraction

  • sieving at high viscosity and thixotrope flow behaviour

  • hermetic sealed apparatus

  • automated and self cleaning apparatus

  • cooling or heating during the sieving

  • filtration without air contact
