Voluminous slurries with low solids content and low specific weight cannot be concentrated high enough by sedimentation or flotation. For this, the mechanical BOKELA sieve drum thickeners offer an economic alternative. By the filtration of flocculated slurries in the gravitational field of a sieve drum the free water is separated almost completely.
