Due to the dynamic shear gap principle, there are almost ideal physical conditions for the separation process. Even with high suspension concentrations, the undesired soluble substances can be washed out without dilution. In consequence, elaborate, multistage washing processes (i.e. mixer/ settler) can be omitted, resources can be saved, and processes can be simplified.
A BoCross filter also provides a solution if your washing process has reached the fringes of what is technically achievable because the particles no longer sediment (i.e. in settling tanks or centrifuges) or because they cannot be separated with a filter fabric (i.e. in a filter press). If your filtration process is linked to key terms such as clearing, washing, conductivity, solvent exchange, dissolved salts, diafiltration, or wash water demand, a BoCross filter probably can do more for you – in the very sense of the word.
